The award ceremony was organised by Siddhicharan Shrestha Academy on the occasion of 105th birth anniversary of the late poet Shrestha. Yug Kavi Siddhicharan. The award was bestowed by Nepal Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli for commendable contributions in promoting Nepali literature in India. The award consisted of a cheque of Rs. 1 lakh (NC) shawl, citation and a plaque.

SAMAJ KALYAN PURASKAR, 2016

The Puraskar was given by the Gorkha Dukha Niwarak Sangh, Darjeeling for unparalleled contribution made in various fields particularly in the field of literature and publication. The Puraskar consisted of: (1)Anga Vastra, (2) Citation, (3) Smriti Chinha and (4) Cash prize of Rs. 10,000. The Puraskar was handed over on September 22, 2016 at Mintokgang by Shri Pemba Bomzon, Pesident GDNS and his team.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT LEADERSHIP AWARD, 2016

The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI), New Delhi presented the Award to Shri Pawan Chamling in recognition of his vision and leadership in environment and sustainable development leading to the establishment of Sikkim as the first and only organic state. The Award consisted of citation and Plaque which was handed over by HE the President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee at Vigyan Bhawan on October 6, 2016.
